Project 365 - Days 1 & 2

1:365 - Our New Years Day was pretty low key. I was off work & we stayed at home and just hung out. We watched Hancock (well, Meighan and Alex got bored about 10 minutes in and decided to go play) but Paul & I actually liked it. All in all, a very quiet but enjoyable day.The kids colored & did some glitter glue painting (see our picture of the day to see their masterpieces). Can you guess who did the girly painting & who did the boyish one? And do you see the mixed media art on the one on the right. Yes, at the bottom of the page is a M&M stuck in glitter glue. Like I said - MASTERPIECES!

2:365 - I went back to work today & it was TOUGH to get out of bed at 6 a.m. today. I wanted nothing more than to sleep in. But, I forced myself up and got myself to work! Had a fine day - it's been pretty quiet in the office due to the holidays but I had lunch with Steph, Jenny, Nicole and Joleen which was nice. We all caught up on each other's holidays. My boss let us off a bit early today so I was able to leave at about 4:15 which was nice. I grabbed dinner, hit Walgreens and headed home. We've been hanging out since. I just had to share today's picture which is of my brilliant and very beautiful offspring! Alex has had a tough day today but Meighan's been fairly good although VERY talkative as usual! Alex seemed to have woken on the wrong side of the bed & has been off and on all day. I was taking photos of a book that I intended to be our picture of the day when the kids saw me & asked me to please take a picture of them. So, I did & ended up loving it so its our 2nd picture of the year! They really enjoy each other's company & Meighan gets very upset when Alex gets mad at her for something and tells her that she's not his friend. That happened at least twice since I have been home from work. They crack me up. I'm learning a lot about siblings & sibling rivalry. I was an only child until Elizabeth arrived when I was in my 20s so I don't have a lot of experience with growing up with siblings. It's amazing to see. The world of siblings ... I don't always know quite what to think of it!

Have a great night ... see you soon!
