Layout: Evolution

It's that time again ... Simple Scrapper's March 2015 materials will be coming soon and I'm having a great time playing with them. I know that I say it every month but I think the membership is well worth the cost and I definitely recommend you check it out here. Anyway, on to the layout - this month's Story Starters focus on social media and technology so I decided to document my Smart Phone evolution. I believe this will be a layout that I'll love to look back on in the future!

New Layout: Pearl Harbor

One of the pages that I've been meaning to do for my family heritage album is about Pearl Harbor and the impact of the attack by the Japanese in 1941 has had on my family. My maternal grandfather was stationed at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed and there was incredible downstream impact for our family. This seemed like an important story to tell ... I used goodies from The Digital Press and found this photo via Google's image search function!

New Layout: Legendary Love

Keeping my promise to myself that I'd scrap more heritage photos this year, I couldn't resist scrapping this photo of my paternal great-grandparents when I saw the new collab (Hello, I Love You) over at The Digital Press - it's PERFECT to tell their love story. I intentionally wanted to scrap this photo with more bold colors and embellishments and I love how it turned out! This layout demonstrates that you can always scrap older heritage photos using bolder colors and motifs!
