Project 365 - Days 43-45
43:365 - This just cracked me up. The kids (or Paul) must have sat Elmo on the shelf in the stairway and it scared me half to death as I came around the corner.
44:365 - Some of my glass. This just makes me happy to look at!
45:365 - We've been working hard with the kids on getting them to help keep the house picked up so we don't have toys and junk all over the floor all the time. Mom and Dave gave the kids these cute bins which we've been putting to use in the living room to hold the toys the kids put away.

Project 365 - Days 38 - 42
38:365 - My boots, which I wear obsessively. To work, on the weekend. Everywhere. LOVE black boots with a heel. My mom bought me a new pair for Christmas which I love too! My winter wardrobe always starts with black boots!
39:365 - Yes, that is a big ole bump on Meighan's head. This is the night that she fell off the sofa, hit her head on the wood floor in the playroom and scared her mommy and daddy half to death. She hit it HARD. She cried and screamed like nothing I've ever heard. Paul immediately wanted to run to the ER. This is about an hour after her fall and she'd had ice on it for most of the hour between the fall and this photo. So, it looks better here than it did at the moments after impact. Scary! The doctor said she was ok and no need to go to the ER but we watched her closely for signs of a concussion. Luckily, she was fine. Just bruised a bit. After the bump on her forehead began to heal, she got some black eyes from the impact but nothing major. Poor girl. After the fall, I knew she was okay when she immediately asked for some Cheez-Its and told me all the colors of the rainbow. Apparently, she has a hard head! Oh, and she loves these silly Hello Kitty watches that she got in happy meals and was showing it off for me!
40:365 - Most of you know that Paul is a big gamer. He loves the challenge of video games and his current favorite game is Eve Online which is multi player online game. This is a quick screenshot of this game that he loves and spends a lot of his free time playing! (NOTE: I don't really understand the game or anything - I'm just glad Paul has found something he enjoys!)
41:365 - Meighan is obsessed with drawing these days. And she's actually quite the little artist. She's also very interested in the letters of the alphabet & numbers and is trying to learn how to write them herself. So, we've been spending quite a bit of time drawing, writing and practicing! Here is a pile of our results ...
42:365 - I'd just finished cleaning the playroom which I feel like I do constantly and wanted to take a photo of the finished product. I need to do a big cleanup and get rid of some of their stuff. They have too much and can't possibly play with it all. We need to get ORGANIZED about it!

Project 365 - Days 33-37
33:365 - Mom made these adorable snowman hats for the kids and they love them. They wore them all day as we ran errands and several people commented on how cute they were!
34:365 - I've been having ongoing sinus issues and taking Sudafed constantly to help. This stuff is amazing! It works like a charm!
35:365 - Meighan loves her Polly Pockets and they end up all over the place. It's funny because Sami used to LOVE them too. We get a kick out of her playing with them!
36:365 - Alex's new obsession is climbing. Constantly. On everything. Even telling us - hey mommy/daddy, i'm CLIMBING! It's funny because he doesn't like heights and yet he climbs every chance he gets LOL
37:365 - Our stand by dinner when we need something quick - tortellini! And these are a particular favorite because some are green which we call our Hulk noodles so that Alex will eat them without complaining! LOL

Project 365: Days 26-32
26:365 - Alex getting ready to go for a nice walk with Daddy. Isn't he handsome?
27:365 - Paul's wedding band. Makes me happy. So perfect for him. Unique and different. Signifies so much to me.
28:365 - The kiddos getting ready to go play in the snow! They are so excited!
29:365 - okay, I'm cheating and using day 28 photos for both day 29 and 30 because they are so cute and represent what we've been doing the last few days ...
30:365: Again cheating but I love this photo of Megs doing her snow angels :)
31:365 - Bunny and a juice cup. Yes, Bunny is Meighan's new favorite toy. She carries her around constantly. Her official name is Daisy but she also goes by Bunny. The one night we could not locate Bunny was NOT fun because Meighan has decided that she HAS to sleep with Bunny. Every night. No matter what. She talks to Bunny and hugs her and loves her all the time. She's a good mommy to her Bunny/Daisy!
32:365 - Meighan doing her dances. She loves to dance and actually has some rhythm. She hears music, she jumps up and begins to dance throughout the room until the music stops. This particular photo cracks me up. She's so determined!
That is it for now. Back soon with more ...

Snow, Snow & More Snow
In case you didn't know, it snowed in St. Louis last week! We ended up with almost 7 inches which is probably the most snow I've seen in my entire life. Living in VA didn't give me a whole lot of opportunity to see a 'real' snow. A few inches maybe but this was definitely new for me! And this was officially the kids first time playing in the snow. And play they did! Here are some photos ...
Alex and Meighan were both COVERED from head to toe with snow.
Alex, who doesn't appreciate the cold, did a great job sticking it out. He didn't run inside once!
Meighan was all about the snowballs ...
Just to show you how much snow there actually was ...
They had a blast running up and down the shoveled path, chasing each other. They were too cute.
Again with the snowballs ...
See what I mean ... COVERED in snow.
Alex getting into the snow ball action!
Meighan just took a dive right into the snow to make her snow angel which she's been talking about for weeks.
Alex giving the snow angel thing a try!
This is the kids making a snow volcano which has ice lava (according to Meighan). Where do they come up with these things LOL?
Daddy and Alex throwing snowballs at each other and playing ...
So, there it is ... our first true playing in the snow. I'm assuming we'll have many more chances if we remain here in St. Louis for awhile!
