Project Life: Week 7

Hello everyone! I'm a little behind with my PL spreads because of a migraine that killed my weekend last weekend which is when I usually find the time to create my pages! Plus, my digi home, One Story Down, has had some trouble and is now going to be under new ownership (which is exciting!) but I spent part of the week in a sad pile of mush, unhappy about the loss of my digi home. Fortunately, four of the designers at OSD are coming together to reinvent One Story Down! YAY! Cannot wait to see what they make happen over there! On top of that, we've had a really busy week between work, Girl Scouts, preparing for upcoming events, etc. Anyway, I'm slightly behind and trying to catch up this weekend!

Here is Week 7 - instead of just 2 pages, I'm adding in a 6x12 inch insert which covers the Thinking Day even that our Girl Scout troop attended and the other side of the insert which covers some personal development work I'm doing in 2013. I'm sorry for the blurred out journaling - I'm not quite ready to share the content with the world!

Project Life Week 6 & two layouts

Hello ... here we are with week 6's spread and a couple of layouts ... This was a busy week for us! Alex's beta fish passed away and Alex had his first lesson in losing a pet. He was very sad but we had a nice funeral which helped him to say goodbye. Lots of Girl Scouts stuff going on ... our troop is planning for our Thinking Day event. We tried a few of Pioneer Woman's recipes this week - one was a HUGE success and one was an EPIC fail. I'm not sure what happened with the sliders but they were very average ... perhaps we messed them up or something. Not sure but they were not loved. The Salad Taco's however blew us all away - we were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved them. They are a new add in to our weekly dinner roundups. We also love her guacamole/pico recipes. Can't go wrong with those!

Everything that I used on this spread can be found at One Story Down except the pockets (by Valorie Wibbens - Pockets No. 6).

And here are a couple of layouts to share - the first is about Meighan's love of pop music & the second is about my love of digital scrapbooking.

Everything on both layouts can be found at One Story Down. Full credits for the project life layouts and the layouts can be found in my OSD gallery!

Project Life: 2013

Hello strangers ... yes, it's me. Finally! I've taken a bit of a blogging break. I think I've finally found something to share here on the blog that will give you a sense of what we're doing and what's happening in our life. In 2012, I started creating a Project Life album (more info on Project Life can be found here). I created weekly spreads for most of the year but creating the physical albums became difficult once we moved due to space since our new home is significantly smaller than our previous home. So, I stopped creating Project Life pages for a few months but have decided to get back to them in 2013. The difference is that I've decided to do them digitally like I do our regular scrapbook pages! I think this will work much better for me!

I thought I would share with you the first few of our 2013 spreads and I'll do my best to come back every week & post that week's pages. If you click on the image, it will open a larger version that will allow you to see the spreads in more detail!

Here is the cover of our 2013 album -

And here are the Week 1 spreads -

Here is our week 2 spread -

And, finally, our Week 3 spread -

I really do love these Project Life pages - the kids love to look at our 2012 album. In fact, when my friend Stephanie visited, Meighan pulled it out to show her! It's a really cool way to capture our day to day lives! So, I'm going to aim to post each weekly spread as I've finished them so I can share them with everyone! By the way, for those of you that are scrapbookers, the actual supplies that I use on each layout can be found in my One Story Down gallery here!
