Day 68: I spent most of the evening at the dining room table with Meighan, watching her play with PlayDoh. She loves it. And would play it 24/7 if we let her LOL

Project 365: Days 66-70
Day 66: The jump rope that Grandma & Grandpa gave her for her birthday was a big hit! We spent awhile helping her figure out how to do it but she had a blast (I have a cool video of that which I'll try to post later).
Day 67: BOWLING! We took the twins bowling at the alley up the street for their birthday. It was their first time bowling and they had a mixed reaction. They were very excited but I think they were a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing. Alex spent most of his time eating popcorn and Meighan was either whining or excited.

Day 68: I spent most of the evening at the dining room table with Meighan, watching her play with PlayDoh. She loves it. And would play it 24/7 if we let her LOL
Day 69: Our beautiful girl ... she loves to dance. All the time. Especially if she has on a dress that she can twirl in!
Day 70: The infamous IronMan toys that Alex got for his birthday and has carried around constantly for days. He loves them and refuses to sleep without them!

Project 365: Day 61 - 65
Day 61 - I can't believe I'm posting this terrible photo ... ugggh. But, it does give you a sense of how drastic my hair cut was. It really does look better than this random shot of messy hair but such is life.
Day 62: I wasn't feeling very original so I went with Diet Pepsi. My favorite drink that I drink way too much of but it seems like a good idea to document my love affair with Diet Pepsi. LOL
Day 63: Happy Birthday to Meighan and Alex! I'm officially the mother of 4 year olds! YAY! Although I was not feeling my best, we made the best of it. Alex got a SpiderMan toy that he then used to spray blue silly string all over the house (fun stuff!) and Meighan got PlayDoh which she LOVED. And played with and played with and played with some more. She loves her some PlayDoh! This little kit is really cute and has a lot of fun stuff for her to play with. We had cupcakes and sang happy birthday but it was pretty low key. We did most of our birthday shenanigans over the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa!
Day 64: Movie Night! The kiddos got into their pajamas, we popped popcorn and spend the evening watching a DVD (I believe it was Cinderella???) together. Good times.
Day 65: YAY! Grandma & Grandpa arrive in St. Louis!!!! The kids were beside themselves with excitement. They opened their presents and played all evening, enjoying the visit with Grandma & Grandpa! The big hits in terms of presents were the Toy Story DVD, Meighan's jump rope, Meighan's ballerina doll & Alex's Iron Man toys. (I'll do a whole birthday weekend post with more photos later, I promise).
Project 365: Days 56-60
Day 56: Yes, another superhero. It's our life most days. Today was Hulk. He's a bit scary to me but Alex loves him.
Day 57: Alex always sits like this, with his arms behind his head and it never ceases to make me smile. I often go in to check on him before I go to bed and 90% of the time, he's laying on his pillow with his arms behind his head. Too cute.

Day 58: As much as I hate to admit it, I think I've passed along my messy/cluttery/collectory gene to Meighan. This is her headboard ... tons of stuff, tons of mess. No matter how often Paul cleans it up, it ends up a mess. It's just how she (and her mommy) rolls!

Day 59: Another of Alex's sneaky photos but this one's not bad ... my Dell, where I spend almost all my free time at home, surfing the net and creating pages for our albums! I'd just painted Meighan's nails, hence the half open nail polish on the CPU. And you can see the mess below my monitor - Yes, I'm messy. Yes, its a sickness. No, I don't know how to cure it.
Day 60 - Today we all went and got our haircut. Paul was looking like a mountain man out of the 1970s, my hair was CRAZY long, Alex had crazy pieces sticking all over his head and Meighan wanted BANGS! In the end, I had 7 inches cut off of my hair. Alex looks so adorable. Paul looks like my husband again. And, Meighan, is adorable with her bangs.

Project 365 - Days 51-55
Day 51: A close up of my boy, crumbs all over his mouth (I'm sure he'd just eaten a bar!) ...
Day 52: Okay, its not the best photo but Meighan was having a blast listening to Daddy's music with headphones. Yes, her white sweater is COVERED in cheese doodles and her face is a mess. I promised these photos would be real ... and there it is, cheese doodle covered mess that it is!
Day 53 - We've been slowing working on decorating Meighan's room. I found these cute little frames in the dollar bin at Target and grabbed them up. Meighan decided that she wanted princesses and flowers in them for her room so we worked together, using my digital supplies to make these cute little framed pieces for her wall. Paul hung them today and they look really cute. I have six more which I haven't figured out what I want to do with them yet. But, her room is coming together.

Day 54: The kids were having a blast playing the Hulk pinball machine that Grandma & Grandpa gave Alex for Christmas.
Day 55: We've also been working on Alex's room and we finally finished the wall of framed photos of his favorite superheros - Hulk, SpiderMan (twice), IronMan (twice), & Batman. It looks really good and he loves it!

Project 365: Days 46 - 50
I'm trying to catch up on posting these daily photos ... I've gotten off track & need to get back on board! So, here we go ...
Day 46: Meighan LOVES to look through my scrapbooks, asking all about every page. She particularly loves the book I made about my pregnancy with her and her brother. I love it because this is one of the main reasons that I spend so much time creating pages for our albums!

Day 47: I'm not sure what this is that Alex is showing me but he spent most of that day carrying it around and showing it to all of us at least a hundred times. You can really see in this photo how much he needs a haircut!!!!!

Day 48: Ahhh, the joys of having toddlers in your home. This is actually a photo taken by Alex, on the sly, when he knew he was not supposed to be touching my camera. Oh well, he seemed to enjoy it and he hasn't broken it yet. I find these little gems all the time. LOL

Day 49: Meighan has such an imagination and loves to play! She gets dressed up and plays the part to the hilt. This day she was being a dragon catcher and kept telling me that she needed this outfit to catch the big dragon. LOL I'm not sure why the hat and the makeshift skirt plus a book were important for dragon catching but, hey, how would I know? lol

Day 50: Meighan loves her Barbie dolls (all but a few were originally Sami's so they are that much more special to her - she tells me how lucky she is that Sami gave them to her). She was very proud of herself in this photo because she dressed Barbie all by herself! See her peeking out behind Barbie - too cute!

Project 365 - Days 43-45
43:365 - This just cracked me up. The kids (or Paul) must have sat Elmo on the shelf in the stairway and it scared me half to death as I came around the corner.
44:365 - Some of my glass. This just makes me happy to look at!
45:365 - We've been working hard with the kids on getting them to help keep the house picked up so we don't have toys and junk all over the floor all the time. Mom and Dave gave the kids these cute bins which we've been putting to use in the living room to hold the toys the kids put away.

Project 365 - Days 38 - 42
38:365 - My boots, which I wear obsessively. To work, on the weekend. Everywhere. LOVE black boots with a heel. My mom bought me a new pair for Christmas which I love too! My winter wardrobe always starts with black boots!

39:365 - Yes, that is a big ole bump on Meighan's head. This is the night that she fell off the sofa, hit her head on the wood floor in the playroom and scared her mommy and daddy half to death. She hit it HARD. She cried and screamed like nothing I've ever heard. Paul immediately wanted to run to the ER. This is about an hour after her fall and she'd had ice on it for most of the hour between the fall and this photo. So, it looks better here than it did at the moments after impact. Scary! The doctor said she was ok and no need to go to the ER but we watched her closely for signs of a concussion. Luckily, she was fine. Just bruised a bit. After the bump on her forehead began to heal, she got some black eyes from the impact but nothing major. Poor girl. After the fall, I knew she was okay when she immediately asked for some Cheez-Its and told me all the colors of the rainbow. Apparently, she has a hard head! Oh, and she loves these silly Hello Kitty watches that she got in happy meals and was showing it off for me!
40:365 - Most of you know that Paul is a big gamer. He loves the challenge of video games and his current favorite game is Eve Online which is multi player online game. This is a quick screenshot of this game that he loves and spends a lot of his free time playing! (NOTE: I don't really understand the game or anything - I'm just glad Paul has found something he enjoys!)

41:365 - Meighan is obsessed with drawing these days. And she's actually quite the little artist. She's also very interested in the letters of the alphabet & numbers and is trying to learn how to write them herself. So, we've been spending quite a bit of time drawing, writing and practicing! Here is a pile of our results ...

42:365 - I'd just finished cleaning the playroom which I feel like I do constantly and wanted to take a photo of the finished product. I need to do a big cleanup and get rid of some of their stuff. They have too much and can't possibly play with it all. We need to get ORGANIZED about it!

Project 365 - Days 33-37
33:365 - Mom made these adorable snowman hats for the kids and they love them. They wore them all day as we ran errands and several people commented on how cute they were!

34:365 - I've been having ongoing sinus issues and taking Sudafed constantly to help. This stuff is amazing! It works like a charm!

35:365 - Meighan loves her Polly Pockets and they end up all over the place. It's funny because Sami used to LOVE them too. We get a kick out of her playing with them!

36:365 - Alex's new obsession is climbing. Constantly. On everything. Even telling us - hey mommy/daddy, i'm CLIMBING! It's funny because he doesn't like heights and yet he climbs every chance he gets LOL

37:365 - Our stand by dinner when we need something quick - tortellini! And these are a particular favorite because some are green which we call our Hulk noodles so that Alex will eat them without complaining! LOL

Project 365: Days 26-32
26:365 - Alex getting ready to go for a nice walk with Daddy. Isn't he handsome?

27:365 - Paul's wedding band. Makes me happy. So perfect for him. Unique and different. Signifies so much to me.

28:365 - The kiddos getting ready to go play in the snow! They are so excited!

29:365 - okay, I'm cheating and using day 28 photos for both day 29 and 30 because they are so cute and represent what we've been doing the last few days ...
30:365: Again cheating but I love this photo of Megs doing her snow angels :)
31:365 - Bunny and a juice cup. Yes, Bunny is Meighan's new favorite toy. She carries her around constantly. Her official name is Daisy but she also goes by Bunny. The one night we could not locate Bunny was NOT fun because Meighan has decided that she HAS to sleep with Bunny. Every night. No matter what. She talks to Bunny and hugs her and loves her all the time. She's a good mommy to her Bunny/Daisy!
32:365 - Meighan doing her dances. She loves to dance and actually has some rhythm. She hears music, she jumps up and begins to dance throughout the room until the music stops. This particular photo cracks me up. She's so determined!

That is it for now. Back soon with more ...

Project 365: Days 19-25
Here are days 19 through 25 of Project 365 -
19:365 - I love the starkness of this photo of the tree across the way from our home. Just screams winter to me!

20:365 - Our Alex who loves playing on his Leapster now that he's figure out how to use it ... LOL

21:365 - Meighan and Daddy making dinner for us - CHICKEN! She loves to help cook & this was especially fun since she got all dirty & covered with eggs and breadcrumbs!

22:365 - Our boy & his NutriGrain bars (blueberry, of course). He eats them constantly & we cannot take the chance of running out of them our he goes nuts LOL. I figure that its better that he loves these than candy or something. Although he also loves candy, he just knows he can't have it very often!

23:365 - The guys that get so much play in our house. He has a ton of them but these are his current favorites. He doesn't go anywhere without them and he sleeps with them every night. He plays with them constantly and is obsessed with superheros!

24:365 - Awww ... she's so beautiful in her new hat, gloves and old winter coat. Getting ready to take a walk in the cold with her brother and Daddy (Mommy stayed home and napped!). She told me, as they left, that she was going bird watching & hoped to see a woodpecker (which is apparently her favorite bird????). She ended up seeing other birds, but no woodpeckers. But, she found another walnut which she insisted on burying in the flower bed so she can grow a tree! LOL

25:365 - We woke up to snow this morning. It's snowed most of the day. Generally, just powder but beautiful to look at from our warm house. They are calling for more tomorrow and Tuesday so maybe the kids will get to build the snowman that they have been talking about for weeks. There just hasn't been enough yet to get a real snow man built. At least we all have our winter boots, gloves, hats and jackets ready for some time in the snow!

That's it for this week ... more to come soon!
